Dansko Professional Petrol Patent Clogs
For the fall of ‘09 Dansko has added the new
Professional Petrol Patent Clogs to the line. Being that patent leather is resistant to oil and moisture this makes them great chef shoes. In busy kitchens the environment can become oily and wet at any given moment. Another really nice feature is they’re easily cleaned with a wet rag, soap and water. Chefs can rest assure that while wearing Dansko Professional Clogs standing in comfort is absolutely guaranteed (arms and hands are an exception).
The professional clog outer sole are designed to be suitably slip resistant in places where excess of vegetable oils and animal fats are present. The slip resistant tests have been carried out by SATRA, the world’s leading research and technology organization for the footwear industry.

Expensive but worth it! I’m a medical student doing rotations and am always in search of a comfortable, sturdy, non-ugly shoe. From the first day I wore the Danskos, I didn’t get one single blister or foot cramp even after 14 hour days. The shiny blue matches everything, except teal blue scrubs, so you can wear them daily. Though now I want the dark red ones too. Also: They’re supposed to feel like they’re too big. A staple sometimes wiggles its way out, but you can just kick it back in with the other shoe.
I’ve been a nurse for longer than I care to remember and I’m still in love with my Danskos. I have several pair in different styles, my most recent acquisition being the Professional in Petrol. Honestly, sometimes I have difficulty with the Professional style because I have a very high instep/arch and the shoe painfully cuts into the top of my foot. Sometimes I have no problem at all with another pair in the same size/style. So what that means is that there is a little flexibility in Danskos sizing. I loved the Petrol color, which is black patent with an iridescent sheen over the entire shoe. I think its unique and hip and I just couldn’t resist. I was afraid they might cut me across the instep like other pairs of Professionals have, but the fit is just perfect, even with a stocking/sock on. I believe this will become one of my favorite pairs of Danskos for work and for play. Super cute with jeans.
